TERRY YAPP, Realtor & Administrator

Terry was born and raised in Orange County, and graduated from Cal State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts and National University with a Masters of Business Administration.  In 1982, after serving as an Administrator with the South Orange County Community College District, Terry decided being a residential realtor would be the perfect profession to help others achieve success in one of their most important financial investments ---real estate.  His entrepreneurial spirit, sales success and extensive experience led him to create Terry Yapp & Associates in 1995.  As the leader of this exclusive team of professionals, Terry has the vision and commitment to deliver the personalized service and outstanding results you deserve as a valued client.  Terry lives in Mission Viejo with his beautiful wife, Renee, and has two daughters, Melissa and Mercedes.  His Christian faith, family and friends are key parts of his life.

DAWN McDOWELL, Administrative Manager

Dawn started working as an Executive Assistant in 1996 with ReMax Real Estate in South Orange County and recently in sales with Orange Coast Title Insurance.  Prior to relocating to California in the 1990's, she lived in her native state of Ohio and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green University.  Dawn has a California real estate license and has represented both buyers and sellers during her professional career.

She manages all office functions, coordinates business development, marketing activities and provides each of our clients with quality customer service. With ten years of real estate experience, Dawn understands the importance of efficiently assisting in all the details of a real estate transaction.  Her pleasant personality, ability to solve problems with integrity, flexibility and responsiveness to people's needs is greatly appreciated by everyone.  Dawn is committed to making individuals feel they will be a valued client for life by always providing personal attention and service.  Dawn currently lives in Laguna Niguel, has raised a son and daughter, and loves to play tennis in her leisure.

KAREN LaRUE, Escrow Transaction Coordinator

As a licensed real estate salesperson since the 1990's, Karen utilizes her professional abilities, skills and experience to coordinate all escrow and transaction details for our buyers and sellers.  She began her real estate career with ReMax in South Orange County before joining Keller Williams Realty.  Her extensive real estate and office management experience assures every client's escrow is handled courteously, efficiently and professionally.  Karen facilitates the smooth completion of all escrow instructions, verifies buyer's deposit, monitors the loan process, coordinates property inspections and required disclosure documents, orders home warranty plans, prepares written communications and handles the numerous details required to close escrow.  She is married with two beautiful children and lives in Rancho Santa Margarita.

CHERYL LATTIMORE, Sales Associate

As the newest member of Terry Yapp & Associates, Cheryl has been a licensed real estate agent since 1993.  Her extensive experience includes real estate positions with Associated Realtors, Coldwell Banker and a consultant in the mortgage industry. Cheryl also was director of a nationwide foreclosure and asset management company. Her successful experience in sales, organizational management, business development and professional knowledge is invaluable to our home sellers. She manages the team's pre-foreclosure, short sale and REO lender business having sold numerous short sales beginning in the 1990's. As a team, Cheryl and Terry have successfully represented over seventy-five distressed sellers in negotiating short sale transactions with all the major lenders.

MELISSA YAPP, Administrative Assistant

Melissa initially joined her father’s real estate team on a full-time basis in June, 2002.  As our team’s Administrative Assistant, she coordinates all office functions including database management, public relations, advertising and marketing activities.  Melissa consistently provides each of our clients with quality customer service.  She has also worked full-time in commercial property management, human resources with a major mortgage company and in customer service/sales support for a technology company.  Her people skills and special talents are invaluable in making everyone feel important and valued as clients of Terry Yapp & Associates.
